Wally
Spice and Julie Proudfoot are a mother daughter team of creative, fun
and easy to get along with women photographers , artistically capturing
the most precious moments of your life for 20 years. The name
"Wally" is short for Waltraud, a German name that no one can
pronounce here. I was born there and still speak it.
Julie has been photographing weddings with Wally and on her own for over 15 years. She is now newly married to Ed Westwood, a master photographer, who is also an invaluable asset to our company. Her 2 sons Steven 16, and Aaron 18 sometimes assist., and work with us Truly a family business and we are very proud of that.
2013 is our 20th anniversary!!
Wally started Wally Spice Photography 20 years ago from her home in Hazel Park, with our contemporary style of weddings that mix the best of the traditional with lots of true photo-journalistic candids, and our own in-between style that is relaxed, fun and romantic. We also love to add a more edgy fashion, stylized touch! We are there to capture the emotions, activities, and details of your special day in a fun, natural, creative and artistic manner. We want you to remember how you felt, not just how fantastic you and everyone else there looked . This is your special day, ENJOY!!
Not just Wedding Photography anymore!
Wedding photography has been our main stay over the years, but since we have enjoyed the studio setting, we have also added more to our Contemporary Portrait photography like babies, children and families.
Julie
has headed the newest division of our company called WSP Seniors - devoted
entirely to our edgy contemporary high school seniors. This has grown by leaps and bounds and we are enjoying a reputation as the most different, fun, contemporary studio to go to! Their Fan Page has been very important here and is very active. We try to upload a sneak peak album or slideshow of every session and Julie has albums based on the locations we frequent - both in studio and on location.

Julie is currently serving as the President of the Detroit Professional Photographers Association and we are very proud of her. Wally served as the president in 2008. Wally and Ed are currently serving on the board of directors for the Professional Photographers of Michigan. We are all members of the Professional Photographers of America. We truly believe it is important to stay educated and abreast of the ever changing aspects of our photography industry.- and be instrumental in encouraging and educating others to do the same! Ed is the current top 10 Master Photographer PPM (Professional Photographers of Michigan) and received many awards for his high scoring competition prints - in the past and at the recent PPM Convention in Birch Run.We hope you ENJOY this site;
